Our History

Dharma and Asmita were born in Solukhumbu and now are running a bed and breakfast in peaceful place just 9 Km away from central Kathmandu.

After coming from Solukhumbu Dharma started climbing mountains as Porter and rose through the ranks to become an expidition leader.

During his journey as mountaineer he made many good friends. While returning from one of his expidition to Everest he was stuck in snow avalance and lost all his fingers to frostbite.

He was facing hard time when his friends from one of his treks, Xavier and Emi ,came to help him.

With their help Dharma and his wife Asmita went to Catalonia and treat his hands after returning to Nepal, they started running Asmita Bed and Breakfast in Thamel from 2009.

Earthquake of 2015 in Nepal and Corona Pandemic of 2020 made it hard for everyone, many business got shut down and tourism sector got hit hard, during that time Asmita and Dharma's family decided to move outside central Kathmandu.

Now Asmita Bed and Breakfast is in Chandragiri Machchhegau, which is located 9 Km away from central Kathmandu.

Nowadays you can enjoy beautiful Himalayan ranges from Everest, Langantang and Ganesh to Manaslu, beautiful landscapes, sunrise, sunset and rarely animal sightings.
